Heartland Conference Call Bridge Line Instructions for Participants
(area codes are (308) (319) (620) (641) & (712))
*******BASIC INFO******************************
INSTRUCTIONS: All parties dial-in to +1 (319) XXX-XXXX at the scheduled time.
An automated system will answer and prompt you to enter the code. You may hear
"music on hold" if the HOST code user has not unlocked the conference.
Once you are in the conference room it will be quiet, unless someone
else is talking. During the course of the conference, you may hear beeps. A
single beep indicates someone has joined the conference (there are no entry beeps on the 150-Person
conference bridge). You may hear a very faint click when someone leaves.
VERY IMPORTANT - WHEN YOU LEAVE THE CALL, BE SURE THAT YOUR PHONE(S) HAS DISCONNECTED.
THE SYSTEM WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY DO IT FOR YOU.
CONFEREE CODE AUTOMATED COMMANDS INFO (functions are toggle switches so are turned on and off using the same code):
(*6) -- Mute individual line
*******TROUBLESHOOTING************************
In the case that you ever get an echo of any kind, this is usually your long distance connection,
try calling back. Or, mute yourself using (*6). Then to un-mute hit (*6).
Be ready to enter your pin code promptly, or you will hear "we are sorry but we are
unable to connect you to the conference" (call back and enter it promptly if that happens).
*******TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL CALL****************
Please call the given conference call / bridge line number at the exact time you are scheduled--if you call
in too early, you may interrupt another group's conference call--thank you. You
can use time.gov for the accurate time
in Pacific Time which is the time zone used for scheduling.
Don't put the call on hold if you have music on hold. If you do, the other
participants will hear your music until you return. Either use your phone's mute
button, (*6) to mute (then (*6) to un-mute), or hang up and call back later.
For any questions you may have about bridge line or conference call etiquette, please visit:
www.rentabridge.com/etiquette.htm.
Use your mute button or the (*6) function when you're not speaking to
further eliminate background distractions, then hit (*6) if you need to speak
Please note that this is a special number and should only be called during
your scheduled conference call time, as it may be in use by other parties at other times.
Calling in to a conference call / bridge line phone number at a time other than your scheduled
time may result in a conference call interruption fee.
